The read
The system reads the light, color, and atmosphere — not the objects. A foggy pier reads cool and mineral; a candlelit room reads warm and smoky.

The compose
The mood routes to scent families and sets the dials, and the same engine that runs our scent fitting composes the formula — top, heart, base.

Yes — and unlike our other paths, this one doesn't need the wearer. The scent belongs to the picture: a trip you took together, the house you grew up in. Or send a gift card and let them choose their own photo.
We keep it with your formula so it can print on your label and carry over to reorders. It's used for your bottle and nothing else — we don't publish it or use it in marketing. If you don't order within 90 days, we delete it; or email hello@aprioriscents.com and we'll delete it sooner.
We re-fit it free. Tell us what's off — warmer, softer, less green — and we re-cut the formula.
