This policy explains what personal information Apriori Scents LLC (“A Priori,” “we,” “us”) collects when you use aprioriscents.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the site you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Order & contact details — name, email, shipping address, and phone if provided.
• Payment information — processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number; Stripe handles payment data under its own privacy terms.
• Account information — if you create an account, authentication is handled by Clerk.
• Your scent data — quiz answers, saved formulas, and revision notes, kept on file so we can remake your scent exactly.
• Gift recipient details — if you buy a gift card, the recipient’s name and email so we can deliver it.
• Usage & device data — pages viewed, approximate location, and device/browser information, collected through cookies and similar technologies including the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and analytics tools.

How we use it

• To fulfill orders, compound and ship your scent, and keep your formula on file for reorders.
• To send order confirmations, shipping updates, and — if you opt in — occasional marketing emails you can unsubscribe from at any time.
• To operate your account and scent library.
• To measure and improve the site and our advertising, including through the Meta Pixel.
• To prevent fraud and comply with law.

How we share it

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the business — including Stripe (payments), Clerk (accounts), our database and email providers, analytics and advertising partners such as Meta, and shipping carriers — and when required by law.

Cookies & tracking

We use cookies and tracking technologies, including the Meta Pixel, to run the site, remember your preferences, and measure advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect how the site works.

Your California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA gives you the right to know what personal information we collect, to request access to or deletion of it, to correct it, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (including certain ad-tracking). To exercise any of these rights, email hello@aprioriscents.com. We will not discriminate against you for doing so.

Data retention & security

We keep your information for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations, and we use reasonable measures to protect it. No method of transmission is perfectly secure.

Children

The site is not directed to anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
