Terms of Service

These terms govern your purchase and use of aprioriscents.com, operated by Apriori Scents LLC (“A Priori”). By placing an order or using the site, you agree to them. You must be at least 18 to purchase.

What we make

A Priori composes custom perfume to order based on your input. Each formula is measured component by component and saved to your account so it can be remade exactly. Because every scent is made for one person, it is a custom, personalized product.

Orders & payment

• Prices are in US dollars and processed securely through Stripe.
• The 5 ml swatch is $22 and the 30 ml bottle is $122. If you buy the bottle after a paid swatch of the same scent, the full $22 credits toward the bottle automatically.
• An order is confirmed when payment is completed. We may cancel and refund an order if we cannot fulfill it.

Returns

Because each bottle is custom-made, orders are non-returnable and non-refundable except where a product arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect. The $22 swatch exists precisely so you can wear the scent before committing to a full bottle. See our Returns policy for details.

Gift cards

• Gift cards are delivered by email and redeemed with a unique code toward any scent, up to the card’s balance.
• Gift cards carry no cash value, are non-refundable, and cannot be exchanged for cash except where required by law. The balance does not expire.
• Please keep your code secure; we are not responsible for lost or shared codes.

Shipping

We currently ship within the United States. Perfume is shipped by ground per applicable regulations. Shipping is free unless stated otherwise. Risk of loss passes to you on delivery to the carrier.

Safety & allergens

Fragrance can cause sensitivity in some people. Our scents contain fragrance materials; if you have known allergies, patch-test on a small area first and discontinue use if irritation occurs. This is not medical advice.

Intellectual property

Your saved formula is kept on file for your reorders. The A Priori name, brand, site, and content are our property and may not be copied without permission.

Disclaimers & liability

The site and products are provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, A Priori is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Marin County, California.
